Pickup day should not be the moment you discover that your shoes make the hem too long or that your underwear shows at the neckline. A short checklist keeps the handover calm and leaves time to retest the details that matter.
Confirm the rental details
Save the model code, size, event date and agreed pickup and return timing. If accessories are included or the dress has a particular tying method, ask what should be checked at handover. Do not rely on an old screenshot if the model changed during the consultation.
Bring the actual underwear and shoes
Square, halter, strapless and tie-back necklines need different foundations. Bring the bra or inner layer you will really wear. Shoes must also have the intended heel height, especially for full-length and mermaid dresses.
Compare the exact model measurement
Calliope Dress A004 in size M has an above-navel waist under 68 cm and a back tie. Corset mermaid model A084 in size S has an above-navel waist under 66 cm. One-shoulder model A091 in size M has an above-navel waist under 70 cm. Measure at the stated position, then test bust, shoulders, hips and length because a waist figure cannot replace a fitting.
Repeat five movements
Sit down and stand up.
Take a long step or use a low stair.
Raise both arms and rotate the shoulders.
Turn to inspect the zip, ties and back.
Take a natural deep breath while seated.
If the dress needs constant pulling, tightening or adjustment to hold its shape, discuss it before leaving.
Inspect the dress together
Look at zips, ties, hooks, raised flowers, lace and the hem in clear light. Confirm any included accessories. Seeing the condition together also helps you understand how to hold, dress and store the piece safely.
Take reference photographs
Photograph the front, side, back and the tying method. These images do not need to be styled; they are there to remember how the dress was worn and its condition at pickup. Save them with the model code if you tried several dresses.
Prepare transport and storage
Set aside a clean, dry place away from food, pets and moisture. Do not compress raised flowers or mesh beneath heavy items. For a long hem, ask how it should be folded or hung to avoid unnecessary creasing.
